Charming B&B in historic Olinda. Lovely street and view. Comfortable room with modern amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful garden and pool. Excellent breakfast with local dishes. Good English speaking staff.
Couldn't fault.

Excellent location for seeing Olinda. 17Th century ambience with excellent internet connection. Great service. Amazing bathroom. I recommend it highly, and would book it again if I am ever fortunate enough to return to Olinda.
Very minor annoyances: Need a sign about whether the water from the sink is potable. If it isn't, water should be provided for free. Did not see any price list for minibar items, ended up paying for water. My room was in front right on the street, so traffic (on cobblestones), conversations outside the window, and evening partying noises could be annoying to the sound-sensitive. Most of the time it was ok, I'm not terribly sound-sensitive, and the room was wonderful otherwise. The battery in the in-room safe had expired, and the safe itself was light enough to be easily picked up and carried away, so no reassurance.

It was very quaint, the old architecture and furniture were lovely. The breakfast was full of fresh fruits and juices and other yummy treats. The staff was very pleasant and caring. The location is quite nice--right in the center of town on a main street. We ate dinner there one evening as well and the food was very very good, even if a bit expensive, but all restaurants in Brazil are so I guess it was standard pricing.
The mattress was a bit uncomfortable and we woke up with stiff backs/necks everyday.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming hotel in a beautiful old town. The hotel had a great location, close to the central area with good restaurants, and it offered excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure that every detail was taken care of. The rooms were beautifully decorated in the old colonial style, but still had all the modern conveniences. I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning, with a fresh buffet selection. a wonderful experience!
All was perfect; I couldn't ask for more.

The staff was really kind. The hotel is close to the beach and close to the Pernanbuco Conference Centre. It has many bars and restaurants on walking distance. Big rooms, clean & confortable.

The rooms are very beautifull/romantic and the restaurant has an excellent choise for dinner.
In front of the pousada is a shop/bar. We were the first night in the room with the streetsight. Lots of noise came from the bar in front of us. While the pousada was more or less empty the employees were not flexible in offering directly another room. We had to insist. For me the service and location are not fitting the picture I have of pousadas from the "Roteiros de Charme".

The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the historic center, close to all the great restaurants and attractions. The hotel itself was charming, with its old colonial style and modern conveniences. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, with all the amenities you could ask for.
No issues, everything was great.

The restaurant area is pleasant, nice to spend evening time there.
The room prices - are overpriced!!!! Must cost half price less. Location are good, really nice street, close to each restaurnt and bar, but we dont have any window. Nice things happens on the street, but you will not see anything, feels like you're in prison :-)

I loved Pousada do Amparo! After the madness of Recife it felt like a haven. The decor is really cool and authentic, using crafts from local artists. The restaurant was really amazing too. One of the best meals I had in Brazil. The room was really comfortable - a hugh double bed, lovely views over Recife at night and the shower felt like warm rain water! It was our last night in Brazil after a 28 day stay and it was a fantastic place to end the trip in. I would highly recommend

The city view from the hotel was amazing and the breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, which made us feel welcome. Another great advantage was the location of the hotel, which was close to some key areas we needed to attend for business purposes.
The rooms were outdated and in need of renovation, especially the bathroom which was not clean at all. The swimming pool was also not clean and not suitable for children. The overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired, and we were disappointed with the condition of certain public areas of the hotel. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a clean and updated environment.

It is in Olinda.
I absolutely loathed my room. It was a dungeon. No light AT ALL. Even with an extra lamp, I could read comfortably. I also didn't like being in the annex, which required getting a staff member to unlock the gate--reinforcing the dungeon. The wifi kept going down, which ruined one Skype call and caused a lot of pain. Every waking minute in that room was a torture. The rest of the hotel was fine.

This hotel is simply charming and authentic, perfectly capturing the character of the historic area it's located in. The old colonial style rooms are beautifully decorated, providing a unique and comfortable stay. The attention to detail is evident, with all the modern conveniences seamlessly integrated. Additionally, the location of this hotel couldn't be better - nestled into the hill of the old town, it's just a short stroll away from the central area with excellent restaurants.
All was flawless.

Loved spending Easter at this charming hotel! Best aspects were the cozy rooms and the amazing breakfast, which offered a variety of options and delicious food. the location was also perfect, with easy access to key city attractions. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. there were some aspects that could have been improved.
Disliked the lack of proper heating in the rooms, which made them a bit chilly at night. the bathrooms could use some updating, as they were a bit outdated and in some cases not as clean as they could have been.
